Mildred Amanda Kamp

Funeral services for Mildred A. Kamp were held Monday, September 21, 1981 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. The Rev. Julius L. Peterson officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Mildred Amanda Kamp, daughter of George and Mathilda (Foels) Oldag, was born April 6, 1909 at Postville. She died September 19, 1981 at Northgate Manor Nursing Home in Waukon.

She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church May 30, 1909 by Pastor Kuhne and confirmed by Pastor Schmidt in 1922. She attended the Postville schools.

August 25, 1925 she was married to Emil L. Kamp in Postville. To this union four children were born. They farmed in the Castalia area.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emil, in 1965, and a daughter, Violet.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne and Lyle Kamp of Waterlo (sic), a daughter, Mrs. Oliver (Vera) Nuehring, Postville; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two brothers, Leonard Oldag of Postville and Harold Oldag of Sheffield, IA.
