Mrs. Lester Kamin

Funeral services are being held today (Wednesday) June 14, at 11:00 a.m. for Mrs. Lester Kamin in the Frankville Community church, Frankville. The Rev. Keith Kensinger and the Rev. Dick Harberts will conduct the service. Mrs. Kamin fell at her home on Wednesday, was hospitalized in Vinton where he daughter lives, then transferred to St. Lukes hospital in Cedar Rapids for surgery. She died in the hospital in Cedar Rapids, Sunday, June 11.

Ora Marie Kamin, daughter of Carl and Lena (Brandt) Dreyer, was born March 26, 1906 near Frankville. She grew up in that community, was baptized and became a member of the Frankville Community church. She received her schooling in the Frankville schools and was a member of the Frankville Community Church women's organization.

February 18, 1927, she was united in marriage to Lester Kamin, Luana. To this union one daughter was born. The couple lived on a farm near Rudd until March 1, 1931, when they moved to a farm southwest of Frankville. In May, 1971, she moved into her new home in Postville.

Mrs. Kamin was preceded in death by her husband Lest, January 7, 1971, also her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Swanson of Vinton; two sisters, Mrs. Leo (Laura) Amdahl, Decorah and Mrs. Olaf (Mae) Russett, Ulysses, Kansas; four grandchildren, Sandra, Lynn, Wanda and Thomas Swanson, Vinton.

Interment was in the Frankville cemetery.
