Lester C. Kamin

Funeral services for Lester C. Kamin were held in the Frankville community Presbyterian Church, Frankville, Sunday, January 10, 1971 at 2:00 p.m. with Robert Larson, student pastor in charge and the Rev. Dick Harberts sharing in the service.

Lester Carl Kamin was born July 2, 1903 at Luana, Iowa, the son of Henry and Ida Schrader Kamin. He was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church, Luana, and became a member of the Frankville Community Presbyterian Church when they moved back on a farm near Frankville. He attended Luana Consolidated Schools and Upper Iowa University in Fayette.

On February 18, 1927, he was united in marriage to Ora Dreyer of Frankville and a home was established on a farm at Rudd, Iowa. To this union one daughter, Betty Jane, was born.

March 1, 1931 the couple returned to Frankville settling on a farm where they resided until his death January 7 of heart trouble and complications.

He is survived by his wife, Ora, and daughter, Betty Jane (Mrs. Robert Swanson); four grandchildren, Sandra, Lynn, Wanda and Thomas Swanson all of Vinton; a sister Viola (Mrs. Milo Kalke) of Floyd; a brother, Willard Kamin, Luana and an aunt, Mrs. Bertha Schneider, of Merrill, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Interment was in the Frankville Cemetery.
