HATTIE M. STANLEY

Services were conducted Friday, Jan. 23, 1970 at 1:30 p.m. from the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville for Hattie Mae Stanley who died at the Mainer Nursing Home, St. James, Missouri, Jan. 19, 1970. The Rev. Curtis Webster was in charge of services.

Hattie Mae Stanley was born near Castalia on Jan. 26, 1868 the daughter of John and Mary Winn. She was educated in the rural schools. She was married to Frank Stanley. Mr. Stanley passed away in 1921.

Mrs. Stanley was one of the first switchboard operators in Bloomfield Township. She was Postmaster at Castalia for 16 years and retired in 1938. In 1946 she moved to Cedar Rapids and in 1954 she moved to Missouri. For the last year she was a resident of the Mainer Nursing Home at St. James, Missouri.

Burial was in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
