Funeral services for Miss Elizabeth Hegg, 62, were held in the Washington Lutheran Prairie Church Wednesday. The Rev. O. E. Engebretson, pastor, officiated, and burial was in the adjoining cemetery.Miss Hegg, died Sunday Aug. 22, in Detroit, Mich.
She was born in Springfield Township Aug. 8, 1881, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hegg. Her father came with his parents to Springfield Township in 1853. Her mother immigrated to America with her parents in 1854 and settled in Decorah Township. They were among the very earliest pioneers of Winneshiek County.
Miss Hegg had made her home with her sister, Lettie Hegg in Detroit for the last few years.
Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Harold Curtis, of Plymouth, Mich.; Lettie Hegg and Ferdinand Hegg of Detroit, Mich.; Marie Hegg of Decorah.
