Funeral services will be held Friday, 1:30 o'clock at her home, and 2:00 o'clock at the Ossian Lutheran church. Burial will be in the Postville cemetery.
As Elizabeth Jahnke she was born April 15, 1879, in Mecklenburg-Shwerin, Germany, only daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia Jahnke. She had three brothers, John, Rudolph and Henry, who was her twin, all of whom preceded her in death, and one half brother, Joseph Ihde, who survives her.
When she was six years old the family came to America and settled on a farm near Farmersburg, later moving to a farm north of Ossian. She was confirmed April 10, 1892, by Rev. G. Blessin at the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Eldorado. On December 27, 1898, she was united in marriage with William C. Schultz of Postville, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Postville.
They made their home on a farm near Frankville until 13 years ago when they moved to Ossian.
To this union were born six children, one son, Lloyd, of Postville, and five daughters: Mabel (Mrs. Emil Schultz) of Postville, Mrs. Alta Jensen of Menasha, Wisconsin, Mrs. Amanda Schultz of Ossian, Ora (Mrs. Loyd Sampson) of Ossian, and Eileen (Mrs. Robert McGilligan) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
In addition to her husband and her children, she leaves to mourn 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
