Sarah Schultz

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 7, 1976 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Castalia, for Mrs. Joe Schultz, who died April 4, 1976 at Decorah. The Rev. Curtis Webster officiated.

The daughter of Fred and Katherine Abeley Schellhamer, Sarah Mae was born January 30, 1898 at Castalia. On February 24, 1921 she was married to Joe Schultz at West Union and they lived in the Castalia vicinity until 1942, then moving to Yuma, Arizona. For the past 25 years they have lived in Decorah, spending winters in Yuma.
She was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church, Castalia.

Survivors include her husband; their children, a son, Wesley of Farmington, Michigan; two daughters, Mrs. Verne (Ardith) Koenig, Decorah; Mrs. Jess (Lorna) Mooneyham, Yuma, Arizona; 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother Fred Schellhamer, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Bernhard, Monona, and Mrs. Edward (Helen) Machula, Cedar Rapids.

Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery.
