Esther Schultz

Funeral services were held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at the E. U. B. Church in Castalia for Mrs. George B. Schultz, who passed away December 24, 1958. The Rev. Byron Surface was in charge of the rites. Burial was in Pleasant View cemetery.

Mrs. George B. Schultz was born Esther Meyer on May 14, 1901, near Elkader, the daughter of August and Lena Hulverson Meyer. When she was eight years of age the family moved to Castalia where she has since resided.

On May 12, 1921, she was married to George Schultz. They are the parents of two children.

Mrs. Schultz passed away on December 24, 1958. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Norma, Mrs. Charles Stortz of Spencer, and Gwenn, Mrs. Milton Koenig of Castalia; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dan Schoonmaker of Waterloo; two brothers, Vernon of Clermont and Orvel of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her parents, a brother and a sister preceded her in death.
