Cresco- Funeral services for Miss Rose Murtha, 85, formerly of Cresco, were Wednesday morning in St. Agnes Catholic church northeast of Cresco, with Rev. Roman Schares, pastor, officiating; burial was in the cemetery near the church; Miss Murtha was killed Sunday in an auto accident at Madison, S.D., where she went recently to live with relatives; born in the Plymouth Rock community northeast of here and lived there the greater part of her life; was the daughter of James and Anna Murtha; while in Cresco, Miss Murtha lived in the home of her brother, the late John Murtha; she also lived in Dubuque.
