Mae Barrett, 72 of Waukon, died March 2, 1988 at LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, WI.

Funeral services were held at Martin Funeral Chapel, Waukon, 2 p.m., Friday, March 4. Verdon Swenson officiated. Martin Funeral Service, Waukon, was in charge of arrangements.

Mae Barrett, daughter of Christian Wintrick and Mary Hammon Wintrick was born October 21, 1915 in Franklin Township, Allamakee County, Iowa.

She received her education in Cherry Valley School, Franklin township. She was a lifetime Allamakee County area resident.

May 31, 1940 she married Lloyd Barrett in Davenport.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Donna Mae.

Surviving are her husband, Lloyd, a son Gary, Waukon, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Walter (Augusta) Schlee, Monona.

Pallbearers were Vernon Webster, Norman Mueller, Vic DeBuhr, Lenny Burke, Lynn Folsom and Gilbertson
