LLOYD T. BARRETT 1915-1988
Funeral services for Lloyd T. Barrett, 73, of Waukon, were held Thursday, Oct. 6, 1988, 1:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Chapel, Pastor Verdon Swenson officiated. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home, Waukon, was in charge of arrangements.Lloyd Barrett, son of Charles and Mabel Burnham Barrett was born July 12, 1915 in Franklin Township, Allamakee county. He received his education at McGregor Elementary School and graduated from Postville High School.
He worked in the CCC during the 30's and helped on fish hatchery and Palisades Park in Decorah. On May 31, 1940 he married Mae Wintrick at Davenport, Iowa. He was a lifetime area resident.
He died October 3, 1988 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon.
Preceding him in death were his wife, a granddaughter, Donna Mae; a stepbrother, Morvin and two half-sisters, Daisy and Alde.
Surviving is one son, Gary, Waukon; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; a stepsister, Goldie Peck, Postville.
Pallbearers: Vic DeBuhr, Greg Gilbertson, Lenny Burke, Lynn Folsom, John McCormick, Robert Welch.
