Leonard Henry Bareis

Services were conducted Saturday, April 14 at Zion Lutheran Church, Castalia, for Leonard H. Bareis who died April 11, 1972 at the Anderson Nursing home, Decorah, where he had resided for over three years. The Rev. Arthur Tolo officiated.

Leonard Henry Bareis, son of Fred J. Bareis and his wife Mary Stopperan Bareis, was born in Clayton county, February 25, 1903. When he was several years old the family moved to a farm near Castalia where he made his home until 1956 when he moved into Castalia.

Mr. Bareis was preceded in death by an infant brother and his parents. Surviving are one brother Albert, of Washington, Illinois; a sister Ethel, Mrs. L. A. Lampman, Postville and two nephews.

Interment was in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Castalia.
