Funeral services were held Monday, February 20, 2:00 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church for Wilhelm Schweinefus, lifelong resident of the Castalia community, who passed away on February 17. The Rev. Walter Pfeffer was in charge of the rites. Burial was in Pleasant View cemetery in Castalia.

Wilhelm Schweinefus was born February 26, 1882, the son of Louis and Elizabeth (Oldenselt) Schweinefus. He passed away at 6:50 a.m. on February 17 at West Union Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Schweinefus was married to Minnie Abbe of Meridan, Minnesota on November 28, 1906 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Meridan. Mr. Schweinefus lived his entire life in the Castalia community where he was a farmer. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Castalia.

He is survived by five children, Ernest, Ervin, LaVerne and Miss Lorene, all of Castalia, and Martin of Muscatine; three brothers, Louie, Fritz and Ed, all of Ossian; Mrs. Minnie Torkelson of Ossian and Mrs. Rose Torkelson of New Hampton.
