Rites Held For F. Schweinefus

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 29, 2:30 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Castalia, for Frank L. Schweinefus who passed away November 26, at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville. The Rev. Duane Manson was in charge of the rites; burial was in Pleasant View cemetery.

Frank L. Schweinefus was born March 28, 1893 at Ossian, the son of Charles and Anna Schweinefus.

The deceased ran a store-restaurant combination in Castalia for several years and in recent years has been employed by the Town of Castalia. He was a member of the Castalia Zion Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel, and a brother Leo. Survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Otto of Castalia; Lizzie (Mrs. Art Schroeder), Lena (Mrs. Fred Everman), Tillie (Mrs. Ed Meyer), Elsie (Mrs. Millard Sampson), and Frances (Mrs. Harvey Reinhardt), all of Castalia; Esther (Mrs. Don Stoessel) of West Union; and Viola (Mrs. Elmer Kohls) of Clermont.

Submitter's note: Frank was married to Louisa Ann Fischer, daughter of William Henry Fischer and Marie Louisa Schroeder. They were divorced in September of 1936. There were no children to this marriage.
