Leo Schweinefus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Schweinefus, was born March 30, 1904, on a farm six miles south of Ossian. He was baptized at the Eldorado Lutheran church of which his parents were members at the time.
He came with his parents to live with them at their present farm home in the spring of 1917.
He was confirmed by the late Rev. W. H. Harms on April 13, 1919, in Zion Ev. Lutheran church of Castalia.
The deceased had been making his home with his parents, being in charge of his father's farm.
He passed away on Friday evening, March 24th, aged 34 years.
He leaves to mourn his loss his parents, two brothers, Frank and Otto of Castalia; eight sisters, Mrs. Arthur Schroeder, Mrs. Fred Everman, Mrs. Eddie Meyer, Miss Mabel Schweinefus, Mrs. Millard Sampson, all of Castalia; Mrs. Elmer Kohls of Elgin, Miss Esther Schweinefus of West Union and Miss Frances Schweinefus of Castalia. One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at Zion Ev. Lutheran church of Castalia.
