ALMA H. UHLEY

Rites were held last week at Castalia E. U. B. Church for Alma H. Uhley, who passed away at Cresco on January 9. The Rev. Byron Surface, pastor of the E. U. B. Church, was in charge of the rites.

Alma H. Uhley was born on a farm near Castalia, November 29, 1868 and passed away at Cresco January 9, 1956.

In early life she was converted and joined the United Brethren church, serving the church to the best of her ability for many years and was a member of the same at the time of death. Her father, mother, brother, and sister all preceded her in death, so for many years she has been the only surviving member of the family.

She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Gertrude Uhley May of Overland Park, Kansas and Mrs. Marjorie Uhley Lawrence of Emporia, Kansas.
