Lucy Sbiral

Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning in St. Wenceslaus church at Spillville for Mrs. Lucy Sbiral, 89, who died suddenly at her home on April 1, 1968. The Rev. John Chihak officiated and interment was in the church cemetery.

As Miss Lucy Novak, she was born on a farm near Spillville, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Novak. Her entire life was spent in the Spillville vicinity.

Following her marriage to Edward Sbiral, the couple lived on a farm southwest of Spillville for many years. After retiring they made their home in Spillville.

She is survived by one daughter and one son -- Mrs. Arnold (Arlene) Kuennen of Northwood, and Alden Sbiral on the home farm. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and one brother, Dan Novak of Calmar. Her parents, husband and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
