Mrs. HENRY (Clara Poesch) KOENIG

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 26, 2:00 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Castalia, for Mrs. Clara (Poesch) Koenig, 68, who passed away at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville, on Saturday morning, May 23. The Rev. Walter Pfeffier was in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.

Mrs. Koenig was taken to the hospital about a week ago suffering from a heart attack.

Clara Poesch Koenig was born July 7, 1896, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Poesch. She was married to Henry Koenig on November 9, 1915 at Postville.

She lived her entire life in the Castalia community.

Survivors include her two children: Mrs. Aldo (Arlene) Larson and Mrs. Lawrence (Georgean) Stadtmiller of near Luana; two grandchildren, Don and Gene Stadtmiller.
