Funeral services for Gladys Luella Haugen, 77, of Decorah were held Tuesday, July 16, at the Hauge Lutheran Church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Gerhard Brase officiating.

Mrs. Haugen died July 13 of internal injuries suffered in an accident four days before.

Sensor-French Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was at the Hauge Lutheran Cemetery. Organist was Alan Sensor and Raymond Haugen was soloist. Pallbearers were Chris Haugen, Raymond Haugen, Stanton Erickson, Milton Iverson, Kenny Larson and Verl Stoskopf.

Gladys Johnson Haugen was born Jan. 15, 1908, in Canoe Township of rural Decorah, the daughter of the late George and Anna Johnson. She attended rural schools of Canoe Township and married Albert J. Haugen in 1938 at the Little Brown Church. They made their home in Lime Springs, Ia., Long Beach, Calif., and Decorah. Mrs. Haugen was a member of the Hauge Lutheran Church and Senior Citizens of Decorah. While living in Long Beach, Mrs. Haugen was a vote teller in the California elections.

Survivors include her husband Albert; three sisters, Emma Simonson, Sylvia Mathys and Mrs. Raymond (Amanda) Thomann; a brother-in-law Arnold O. Haugen of Decorah; and three sisters-in-law, Bessie Johnson of Santa Barbara, Calif., Florence Henning and Clara Shorewood of Milwaukee, Wis.
