Funeral services for Clara L. Dehning, 90, of Decorah, were held July 10 at 11 a.m. at Decorah Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John Halverson officiating.

Mrs. Dehning died July 8 at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah.

Organist was Diane Kvamme, and soloist was Arlene Foltz. Burial was at Phelps Cemetery, with Sensor-French Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Donald Stoskopf, Erlin Stoskopf, Aril Falck, the Rev. Landis Gross, Orlie Seegmiller and Vernon Vine.

Clara Louise Olson was born June 15, 1897, in Canoe Township, the daughter of the late Ole P. and Jennie (Haugen) Olson. She attended rural school, and married Alfred Dehning on April 5, 1916, at the family home in Canoe Township. He preceded her in death June 25 1958. Mrs. Dehning was a member of Decorah Lutheran Church and the Senior Citizens.

She is survived by one son, Harold Dehning of Decorah; three grandchildren, Harlan of Marengo and Duane and Ronald of Decorah; three step grandchildren, Sandra Oakley of New Jersey, Shirleen Sturtz of Decorah and Mark Peterson of Cedar Rapids; seven great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and eight step great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Olga Gross, Josie Seegmiller, Cora Severson and Julia Peterson; and one brother, Oscar Olson.
