Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 8, at the First Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. for Mrs. James Kelly, 45, of Decorah who passed away Monday morning at the Decorah hospital.

The services were conducted by the Rev. R.A. Ofstedal and the Rev. B.A. Johnson. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery at Decorah. The Steine Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Walter Buenneke, Henry Brynsaas, Otto Severson, George Steine, Lester Ellingson and James Roney.

Members of the foral committee were Mrs. Walter Buenneke, Mrs. Gilbert Nesheim, Mrs. Henry Brynsaas and Mrs. James Roney.

Vern Asleson was the soloist and Charlotte Wilkins was the organist.

Myrtle Ellingson was born May 12, 1910, in Canoe township and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elling Ellingson. She received her education in the rural schools and moved to Decorah 15 years ago.

She married Emil Hill December 9, 1931, who preceded her in death April 2, 1954. On October 20, 1954, she married James Kelly of Decorah.

A member of First Lutheran Church, she is survived by her husband and two brothers and sisters, Adolph Ellingson of Decorah, Lloyd Ellingson of Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Pearl Barth of Waterloo and Mrs. Howard Nye of Clear Lake. Three brothers, Ralph, Earl and Alfred preceded her in death.
