Sarah McCann was born in Wiclo (Wicklow) county, Ireland, Feb. 14th, 1826. She Came to America in October, 1853, at which time she was married to Robert Waters. They came, to Ludlow township, Allamakee county, in the spring of 1856, where they have since resided, and Where the deceased died. June 24th, 1891. She leaves a beloved husband, two sons and three daughters, as well as two brothers, one sister and a few grandchildren to mourn her loss. A week before her death Mrs. Waters suffered a stroke of paralysis from which she never rallied. In their great affliction we wish to extend our sincere sympathy to the sorrowing husband and children as well as other relatives and friends. From a long acquaintance and friendship With tile family we feel warranted in extending this sympathy in the fullest measure. Your wife and mother has gone from you, but she has gone in the triumphs of faith, and whatever of good is in store for the pure in heart in the beyond she is now enjoying. We believe all the family emulate her pure character and will meet her by and by in a happier world than this.
