Clark R. Larson, 69, of Allentown, Pa., formerly of Waukon, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospice in Allentown, Pa. Funeral services are Saturday, April 5, at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Lutheran Church in rural Decorah, with Pastor Stacey Nalean-Carlson officiating. Burial is at Glenwood East Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18105. Services also are Thursday, April 3, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emmaus, Pa. Martin Funeral Home of Waukon is handling local arrangements. Casketbearers are Douglas Ewing, Scott Ewing, Daryl L. Larson, Todd Larson, Darren Larson, Greg Klein. Online condolences may be left at martinfunerals.com.
Clark R. Larson was born Aug. 25, 1944, in Waukon, the son of the late Leonard M. and Thelma (Moen) Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at Glenwood Lutheran Church, attended the rural Rocksvold School, and graduated from Waukon High School. He was self-employed in the retail meat industry. Clark was a fun loving man who cherished his family and friends.
Survivors include three children: Tony C. (Allison) Larson of Valley Forge, Pa., Joni M. (Brian) Thomas of Wescosville, Pa. and Jeni M. (Victor) Siegfried of Allentown, Pa.; five grandchildren: Devin, Brittny, Luke, Emily and Sara; seven sisters: Jan (Bob) Lein of La Crescent, Minn., Gladys Howe of Waterloo, Lorraine Wright of Cedar Falls, Markeata Schuler of Waterloo, Adeline Jensen of Cedar Rapids, Anna Marie (Jerry) Ewing of Waterville and Darlene Klein of Waukon; three brothers: Harry (Dorene) Larson of McGregor, Daryl (Ellen) Larson of Waverly and David (Linda) Larson of Trenton, N.J.; and a brother-in-law, Bob Daniels, of Waterloo.
Clark was the widower of Janet M. (Snitker) Larson. Others who preceded him in death are sisters Millie Daniels and Thelma and husband, Lester Sampson; and brothers-in-law: Graydon Howe, Richard Wright and Robert Jensen.
