Edwin Carlton Peck (Ed), 85, of Neenah, Wis., passed away peacefully March 13, 2014, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Ed was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Decorah, the son of Dr. Chester Peck and Margaret (Moore) Peck. He is now reunited with the love of his life, Constance Cyr, whom he married Jan. 30, 1954. Ed attended Iowa State University on an athletic scholarship to play football and run track. He also was in the ROTC and in 1951 he graduated with a degree in industrial engineering before joining the Navy later that year. He served on the submarine USS Grouper during the Korean Conflict. Ed thrived in his career, working for General Electric, Corning Glassware, Ecko Housewares, Marx Toys and finally retiring from Kimberly Clark. Ed took great pride in his work and held several patents. The Pecks moved often, living in many different states, before settling down in Neenah, Wis. Their houses may have changed, but their family bond was what made it a home. Ed was the glue. No matter where Ed lived, he always had a love of Drum and Bugle Corps that was developed early on in life when he was a member of the Decorah Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps. This passion was passed down to his children and grandchildren, many of whom took part in it themselves. His other interests included being a member of the Appleton Curling Club as well as the Fox Valley Bridge Co-op. Edwin always strived to stay connected with his family, whether it be by hosting get-togethers or Skyping with his younger brother, John. He had a wonderful sense of humor, never forgetting to see the lighter side of life. He was devoted in his faith and to his family.

Ed is survived by his children: Richard (Patricia) Peck, Jackie (Paul) Habza, Phil (Karla) Peck, Catherine Peck, Jim (Tina) Peck, Patty (Todd) Meisenholder and Robert(Candy) Peck; his brother, John (Barbara) Peck; sisters-in-law: Flo Rousseau, Simone Bierne and Cathy Reeves; close family friend, Patti Kacerguis; and many other loving friends and family members. He was a Pepere to 26 grandchildren and Gran Pepere to 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C.K. and Margaret; his brother, Jim Peck; sister, Mary Kreymer; sister, Nancy Ellingson; and his beautiful wife of 58 years, Connie Peck.
