Funeral services for Mrs. Linda L. Roed, 41, of Washburn, were held Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washburn.
Mrs. Roed died Sept. 23 of cancer at the Hospice Unit of Schoitz Hospital in Waterloo.
The Rev. Paul Koch conducted the services. Organist was Alan Sensor, accompanying congregational singing.
Pallbearers were Paul Murphy, David Steffen, Richard Schwebach, Mike Strubel, Gary Frye and Harlan Dehning. Honorary pallbearers were John Matter, Richard Matter, David Matter, Gerald Harvey, Craig Sensor and Alan Sensor.
Linda Louise Sensor was born Aug. 23,1944, in Decorah, the daughter of Galen and Ethel (Matter) Sensor. She attended rural schools in the area and Decorah High School. She married Edward Roed on Feb. 4, 1962, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Mrs. Roed was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washburn, past president of the A.L.C.W., member of the Fellowship Committee and Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda, and a son, Brian, both of Washburn; her husband, Edward; a brother, Charles, of Decorah; and father-in-law, Edwin Roed of Decorah.
Arrangements were made by Oppold Funeral Home, Waterloo, and Sensor-French Funeral Home of Decorah. Burial was at Hauge Lutheran Cemetery, rural Decorah.
