Elgin Echo, Thursday, 02 May 1895.

Louie Rostetter, a saloonkeeper of Decorah, took an overdose of laudanum Friday night last and died at 5 o'clock Saturday morning. Rostetter is the third member of the family who has died within the past year, his father and mother having died within the past ten months. Rostetter was about thirty-three years of age and leaves a wife, but no children.
