Fritz Christian Dreier, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Dreier, was born near Frankville, Iowa, January 11, 1897. He spent practically all his life on his father's farm in Bloomfield township, Winneshiek county, Iowa.

In the fall of 1919 he decided to take a course in auto school at Kansas City, Mo., to which place he went in December of last year. While there he was taken sick with tonsillitis and in spite of all that medical aid could do, he passed away on Friday night, Feb. 20th, at the age of 23 years, one month and nine days.

In February, 1916, he united with the Presbyterian church of Frankville, Iowa, always taking an active part in the work of the church and Sunday School, holding the positions of assistant superintendent and teacher. He was a young man of splendid Christian character, beloved and respected by all with whom he came in contact. He leaves to mourn his untimely departure into the better world, his parents, three brothers, two sisters and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. Edward Healey of Kent, Iowa, a former pastor of deceased, on Monday afternoon at three o'clock at the Postville Congregational church, assisted by Rev. L. W. Wiltberger. Interment in the Postville cemetery.
