Wm. B. Malli, Life-long Farmer Of the Area, Dies

Funeral services were held on January 7 at St. Agnes Church, Plymouth Rock, for Wm. B. Malli, age 64, of Plymouth Rock who died following a heart attack.

Father Hawes said mass and officiated at the burial. Soloist was Marlin Fretheim and organist was Alan Sensor. Mr. Massis six oldest grandsons were pallbearers: Harold Flatland, Bob and David Malli, Larry, Gary and Don Sexton.

Mr. Malli was a life long resident of the Winneshiek County area. He was born March 29, 1909 to James and Mathilda Malli of Decorah. He married Olga Ellingson of Decorah and they farmed in this area.

He is survived by his wife, Olga, and nine children: Mrs. Harold Flatland and Roger Malli, Cresco, Mrs. Raymond Sexton, Decorah, Mickey Malli of Cedar Rapids, Ia., Mrs. Jerry Johnson, Canton, Minn., Mrs. Bernie Hutchison, Red Oak, Ia., Mrs Decio Escobak, Middlebury, Conn., Mrs. Tom Greenslade, Frazee, Minn. and Mrs. Jerry Sauer, Minneapolis.

Also surviving are his father, James E. Malli, Waukon, Ia. and 39 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers.
