MRS. HANS LOKKEBO DIES AT HOME OF SON FRIDAY

Mrs. Hans Lokkebo passed away Friday, June 12, 1931, at the home of her son, John A. Hanson on Oak street of this city. Last fall she underwent an appendicitis operation from which she never fully recovered. She also suffered of pneumonia the last few weeks. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the home and at Hauge church at Canoe, Rev. Losen officiating. Burial was made in the Canoe cemetery.

Katherine Langedahl was born in Sunnfjord, Norway, April 11, 1858, the daughter of Inga and John Langedahl. In 1888, in Norway, she was united in marriage with Hans Lokkebo, who passed away 2 1/2 years ago. The came to America in 1893, and settled in Canoe township,where they lived until 12 years ago when they moved to Decorah. Mr. and Mrs. Lokkebo were blessed with six children, three of whom survive. They are Mrs. Henry Severson, Decorah, Mrs. Hannah Hovey of Orleans twp., and John Hanson, with whom she had made her home the past few years. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers in Norway. Sincere sympathy is extended to those who survive.

Mrs. H. L. Lokkebo in Final Summons Friday

Mrs. Hans L. Lokkebo passed away Friday, June 12, at her home on Oak street. She passed away following an operation for appendicitis. She was born in Sunnfjord, Norway, April 11, 1855, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lannedahl. She was married to Hans Lokkebo, and the family home was here for many years.

Six children were born to the union, three of whom passed away. Those surviving are Mrs. Henry Severson of Decorah, Mrs. Hannah Hovey of Orleans township and John Hanson of Decorah, with whom she made her home. Her beloved husband passed away 2 1/2 years ago. She was a woman dearly beloved in a large circle of friends, and much sympathy is extended to the bereaved children in their loss.

The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the home, Rev. O. Glesne officiating, and from the Hauge church in Canoe township where Rev. Carl Losen officiated and where interment took place.
