Mrs. B. Anderson Rites Held Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Benedick Anderson, 75, were held Tuesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at the Steine Funeral home, the Rev. B.A. Johnson officiating with burial in Big Canoe Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson died Sunday morning at 8:45 o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. Edward Puffer, 817 River Street,in Decorah. She had been in poor health for several years.

The pallbearers were Lester Sampson, Donald Borne, Boyden Musser, Merlin Graves, Warren Pettlon and Melvin Noecker. Members of the flower committee were Mrs. Lester Sampson, Mrs. Boyden Musser and Mrs. Merlin Graves.

The soloist, Mrs. George Rowland, was accompanied by Mrs. Norman Senjem.

Mrs. Anderson, the former Inez Clausen, was born December 18, 1879, in Canoe Township, the daughter of Axel and Mary Clausen, both deceased. Her husband, one son and one daughter preceded her in death.

Seven children survive. They are Mrs. Cleve (Mayme) Ames, De Sota, Wis.; Mrs. Maurice (Anna) Sampson, Mrs. Puffer, Arthur Anderson and Julius Anderson, all of Decorah; Mrs. Dave (Bertha) Musser, Delhi, Iowa; and Mrs. Charles (Esther) Graves, Mitchell, Iowa.

Also surviving are 18 grandchildren,19 great grandchildren, one brother Pete Clausen of Canada, and two sisters Mrs. Christina Noecker and Martin Clausen, both of Decorah.

Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
