Job Perry was born in Franklin county, Maine, May 3, 1838, and died at his home near Castalia, Iowa, Sept. 15, 1918, aged 80 years, 4 months and 12 days.

He moved with his parents to Jefferson county, New York, where they lived for many years. Mr. Perry came to Iowa in 1854 and settled near Castalia. He and Miss Mary Campbell were joined in marriage on July 10, 1865, and to them were born three children, Eugene J., Alma L. and Marshall E. Perry, all of whom survive their parents. There are several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the home Tuesday forenoon at 10:30, Rev. J. F. Childress of Postville officiating. Interment in the Universalist cemetery near Castalia.
