Sylvester Sorenson

Sylvester Sorenson, 82, formerly of Decorah, died Tuesday, April 30,1996, at the Ostrander (Minn.) Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, at 10 a.m., at the Methodist Church in Preston, Minn.

Sylvester was the son of Bendick and Susan (Dinger) Sorenson. He attended school in the Decorah area, and farmed near Decorah for several years before moving to Preston, Minn., where he farmed until retirement.

Survivors of Sylvester Sorenson include his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Steven and Arlin; a daughter, Beverly; one sister, Clara Tonne of Waterville, Minn.; and one brother, Ray Sorenson of Decorah.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary; six brothers; and one sister.
