Theodore Severson, Former Resident, Dies in Oregon

Theodore Severson of 1148 S. Water, Silverton, Ore. and a native of Decorah, died January 25 at Salem, Ore. He was a retired farmer and carpenter.

Mr. Severson was born May 16, 1890 in Decorah. He had lived in Silverton since 1950, moving there from South Dakota. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Silverton.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie, of Silverton; two sons, Raymond Severson of Salem, Ore. and Robert Severson of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Violet Groendyke, Deland, Fla.; two brothers, Otto Severson, Decorah and Alvin Severson of Waukon; nine grandchildren and one great grandson.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 28 at Unger Funeral Chapel in Silverton with burial in the Valley View Cemetery there.
