Services for Nellie Meyrick held

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie L. Meyrick, 87, who died Jan. 4 at the Barthell Eastern Star Home, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8 at the Grace Episcopal Church in Decorah. The Rev. George F. Wharton officiated with burial in Green Lawn Cemetery, Nashville, Ind. Olson-Fjelstul Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Calvin R. Anderson, L.J. Bodensteiner, James E. Coplen and John Sproatt. Organist was Marjorie Wharton.

Nellie Meyrick was born July 28, 1895 in Decorah to Frank and Ida (Moore) Jewell. She graduated from high school in Decorah, received a degree in physical education in Chicago and graduated from Columbia University in New York. On April 8, 1929 she married Harold A. Meyrick in Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband on May 30, 1968. There are no immediate survivors.
