Robert Moore, Retired Farmer Dies December 21

Robert W. Moore, a retired Decorah area farmer,died December 21 at his farm home at the age of 72. He was a life-long resident of Winneshiek County and Decorah.

Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Albert Houts at Steine Funeral Home Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 1 p.m. Burial was in Phelps Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: John Logsdon, Randal Logsdon, Scott Logsdon, Fred Christopher, Ted Hovey and Robert Johnson. Mrs. Otto Ruen was organist, and Harvin Christen was soloist.

Robert Moore was born February 22,1903 in Decorah, the son of Dr. Henry and Anna Moore. He attended Decorah Public Schools and Luther College and was a member of First Lutheran Church.

He was married August 29,1927 in Decorah to Daisy Logsdon.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter and two sons, Michael Moore of Fountain City, Wis., Mrs. Harvey (Kay) Baker of Rochester, Minn. and Walker Moore at home; four grandchildren and one sister, Miss Kathryne Moore of Decorah.
