Doug McIntyre, 50, of Bluffton, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, Iowa after a long battle with ALS. Doug was born February 5th, 1963 in Cresco to Doug and Sharon (Lucas) McIntyre of Decorah. He attended North Winneshiek School. After school Doug worked for a fencing company on the road. After that he worked with Horse and Home of Cresco, and also worked many years at Featherlite in Cresco.
Doug was also very active in the outdoors. He enjoyed the yearly deer hunting, camping, and canoeing. He was also an avid bowler and bowled in the local men's league for many years.
He was always there to help whomever needed it.
In July of 1990, he was united in marriage to Karen Mast (Pecinovsky) of Cresco. To this union were 2 children: Kyle McIntyre (Dakota Lepa) of Ridgeway and Cami McIntyre (Bidgie Harper) of Cresco. Also 2 sons: Allan "Butch"(Angie) Pecinovsky of Cresco and Tom Pecinovsky of Decorah. He also had 5 grandchildren: Thomas, Trae, Taylor, Tyler, and Trevor.
Doug is survived by his wife, 3 sons, 1 daughter, 5 grandchildren,his mother Sharon McIntyre, 2 brothers; Don (Paula) McIntyre and Jeff McIntyre. One sister Lisa (Rich) Reckward. Several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Doug McIntyre, Uncles Jim(Doris)McIntyre, Gary Bruening, and Richard Larsen, Allen (Kerry) McIntyre, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
