Mrs. Leland Van Horn, formerly of Postville, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Esther Halvorson, in Decorah Saturday night and funeral services will be held at Decorah Thursday afternoon. Horace Gordanier being one of the pallbearers.
Mrs. Van Horn will be remembered here as operator, with her husband, of the dry cleaning establishment in this city for a number of years, until they sold to Mr. Gordanier.
Mrs. Van Horn was 81 years old and was born in Crawford county, Wis. They lived in Postville until thirty years ago when they moved to Decorah.
Mrs. Van Horn is survived by six children: Lieut. Charles E. Van Horn of Camp Claibourne, La., Everett E. Van Horn of Monroe, Wis., Mrs. Esther Halvorson, Decorah, Mrs. Ben McGreevy of Madison, Wis., Mrs. H. T. Kruger of Elgin, Ill., and Mrs. Eldia Tollefson of Decorah.

Coordinator's Note: Cemetery records show Frances was born in 1865; however, with her age of 81 it would indicate she was born in 1860.
