Funeral Services Held For Mrs. H. Scheidemantel

Heart Attack Fatal to 69 Year Old Woman; Funeral Saturday

Funeral services were held here last Saturday for Mrs Henry Scheidemantel who died July 2, 1941 at her home west of town following a heart attack. She had been ill four weeks. Msgr. M. J. Tiltgen conducted the services in St. Francis Church and the burial in the church cemetery.

Paul bearers were Urban Schissel, John Schissel, Ray Schissel, Paul Schissel, Edward Schissel and Fred Scheidemental, all nephews of the deceased.

Barbara Schissel was born in Festina April 24, 1872, the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline Schissel. On June 6, 1893 she and Henry Scheidemantel were united in marriage at Ossian and they became the parents of two children: Carrie at home and Victoria who passed away early this year.

Besides her husband and daugher, she is survived by three brothers: Joseph Schissel, Ossian, Peter Schissel, Cedar Rapids, and John G Schissel, Calmar, and one grandchild (June Uebelher).

She received her education in the Festina school and has been a resident of Winneshiek County her entire life of sixty-nine years. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and belonged to the Rosary Society.

Schissel, Calmar, Urban Schissel, Owatonna, Minn.,Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rothmeyer, Mr. and Mrs. Alf Schissel, Calmar, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schissel, Mabel, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Scheidemantel and family, Cresco, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kuennen and Mr. and Mrs. John Kuennen, St. Lucas, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lechtenberg and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kuennen and Mrs. Mary Hageman, Festina.
