On last Friday Edward Halverson passed away at Decorah hospital, death being due to the effects of gas inhaled while being in service in France. When he returned home last spring he seemed to be enjoying good health, although he had spent some time in hospitals overseas. In spite of appearances, the germs of disease that had been implanted by the gas were working upon his system, and after an illness of a few weeks death claimed him.
