Inez Hermanson
Inez E. Hermanson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend, passed away April 5, 2012, at Life Care Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. A memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Burial is at the Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah at a later date. Memorials in Inez’s name may be made to Evercare Hospice, 5450 Tech Center Drive, No. 120, Colorado Springs, CO 80919. Online condolences: shrineofremembrance,com.
Inez was born March 3, 1927, in Decorah, to Herman and Amelia “Minnie” (Qualley) Rude. She sold shoes at Younkers Department Store in Iowa for 25 years. She loved cooking for her family, baking cakes, painting bird houses and always had a magazine in her hand.
She is survived by her husband, Arden, of 65 years; her daughters: Elizabeth Seedorf and Arlis (AJ) Stephenson; her son-in-law, Dave; three grandchildren: Cory and wife Amy, Bryan and wife Elizabeth and Amy and husband Mike; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Molly; her sister, Ruth Thompson; her brother, Robert Rude; and several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank Life Care Center and Dr. Jeffrey Kulp’s office for their care these past six months.
