Justin Wilkins

Justin D. Wilkins, 28, of Bridgeport and formerly of Decorah, died of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Saturday, July 16, 2011, in Freeman Township. Funeral services are Wednesday, July 20, at 10:30 a.m. at the Glenwood Lutheran Church, Decorah, with Rev. Doug Mathison officiating. Interment follows in the church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, July 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien and one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday, July 20. He was born Sept. 12, 1982, in Decorah, the son of Loren and Cathy (Rude) Wilkins. He was a 2001 graduate of Decorah High School. He married Danielle Moret Nov. 8, 2008, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien, Wis. He was currently employed at Prairie Sand and Gravel in Prairie du Chien. Justin was a member of the Bridgeport Fire Department and enjoyed fishing. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and son and will be sadly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Danielle and son, Gavyn, of Bridgeport; his father, Loren (Sondra) Wilkins of Decorah; sisters Dawn Zweibohmer of Luana, Marcie and Robin Wilkins both of Decorah, a brother, Henry (Renae) Wilkins of Decorah; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

His mother and two nephews preceded him in death.
