Donna Rothmeyer

Donna J. Rothmeyer, 68, of Loveland, Colo., passed away July 20, 2011, at the Medical Center of the Rockies surrounded by family. A memorial service was 2 p.m. Monday, July 25 at the Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, Loveland, Colo. A celebration of life is 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at the Loveland Veterans Club, Loveland, Colo.

Donna was born Oct. 18, 1942, to George and Adeline Olsen in Decorah. After losing her mother to a car accident when she was seven years old, she was raised by her father and stepmother, Viola. She also considered Viola’s son, Ron Olsen (Cresco) as her brother.

Donna graduated from Decorah High School in 1960. Donna married Richard Riker in La Jolla, Calif. in 1962. In 1966, Donna married William Rothmeyer in Crown Point, Ind. Donna had two children, Eric George and Deanna Jean. They were the purpose and joy of her life. Later, she had her grandchildren, Jesse, Emily and Jaren.

Donna was an avid reader, enjoyed swimming, movies with her grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed researching stocks and the card socials on Saturdays at the Vets Club. She was a pet lover, and her dogs would give their all to please her.

Donna will be deeply missed by her best friend and longtime companion Joe (Rico) Gasca, along with many friends and family members.
