Barbara Gloria Smith Clark

Barbara Gloria Smith Clark, beloved mother, grandmother, companion and friend, left her loved ones July 2, 2011. A memorial service is 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, at Decorah Congregational United Church of Christ, 209 W. Broadway St. Decorah. Rev. Mathew H. Perkins will officiate. Interment is in Massachusetts at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Decorah Congregational UCC or Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation, Decorah. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.

Born January 30, 1924, in Malden, Mass., she lived most of her life in Malden and Somerville, Mass., and her last years in Decorah. Barbara embraced everyone she met and welcomed all to her family.

Left to mourn her passing is her beloved companion, Wyman Halverson (Decorah); daughters Dianne Halverson and son-in-law Richard Halverson (Decorah), Susan Warnke and son-in-law William Warnke (Hudson, N. H.), Lauran Donaldson and almost son-in-law Thomas Kunert (Fleming Island, Fla.); grandchildren Heather Halverson, Robert Donaldson, Jr., Megan Donaldson (Kevin Drongowski), Sara Prince, Craig and Amy Warnke, Keith and Kristine Warnke; and great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Warnke.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Harry Clark, who has been patiently waiting while Mumma shopped.
