Mrs. Mike Wiedeman

Funeral services for Mrs. Mike Wiedeman, who passed away at her home in Lincoln township on Wednesday afternoon, April 12th, were held at 1:30 o’clock at the Winneshiek County Burial Assn. funeral home at Decorah and at 2:30 o’clock at the Ridgeway Methodist church on Sunday afternoon. The pastor, Rev. Frank Cass officiated and burial was in the Ridgeway cemetery. Pallbearers were: Walter Kuntz, Harry Wiedeman, Melvin Funer, John Reinhart, John Musel and Adolph Vick.

Mrs. Wiedeman – nee Laura Klein, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Klein was born in Batesville, Ind., Nov. 18, 1869. She grew to young womanhood there and in 1906 came to Iowa and Winneshiek county. On Dec. 23, 1907, she was united in marriage to Mike Wiedeman at the home of her sister, Mrs. Samuel Kuntz and they made their home on a farm in Lincoln twp, where they have lived since.

Mrs. Wiedeman leaves to mourn her departure her husband, one son Paul of Ridgeway, one granddaughter, Janice Wiedeman, two sisters, Miss Lydia Klein and Miss Martha Klein, both of Batesville, Ind., and one brother, William Klein of Sask., Canada. Two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Kuntz of Ridgeway, Minnie Klein of Batesville, Inc., and three brothers, John and Clinton Klein of Batesville and George Klein of Denver, Colo., preceded her in death. Mrs. Wiedeman was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends.
