Mrs. Mike [Mathias] Tupy

Funeral services will be held here at St. Wenceslaus Catholic church Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock for Mrs. Mike Tupy, 74, who died at her home near Spillville, early Sunday morning, March 4, following a several months’ illness. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Biskup, pastor. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus cemetery. Mrs. Tupy was the former Victoria Taylor and was united in marriage with Mike Tupy at Spillville in 1892. The couple resided on a farm southwest of Spillville until several years ago when they retired from active farm life and moved to Spillville.

She leaves her aged husband and six children: Mrs. Emma Panosh of Little Turkey; Lewis Tupy, Ridgeway; Mrs. Alex (Celia) Lundgren of Cedar Rapids; Joseph and Mike Tupy of near Spillville and Mrs. Reuben (Viola) Tuchek, formerly of Decorah, but who has been here for several months helping care for her mother. She also leaves a sister Mrs. Mary Moudry and three brothers, John and Adolph Taylor, all of this vicinity and Joseph of Hagen, Wis., and several grandchildren.
