Mrs. Louis Tupy of Spillville Died At the Age of 38

Mrs. Louis Tupy of Spillville passed away Sunday evening March 18 at Mercy hospital in Cresco, after a two weeks’ illness.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning, March 21, at 10:00 o’clock at St. Wenceslaus Catholic church with Rev. Father Biskup officiating and burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

The former Caroline Lentz, was born near Spillville, November 12, 1906, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lentz. June 18, 1928, she was married to Louis Tupy, and since that time the home was made on a farm near Ridgeway.

She is survived by her husband, her parents, two sisters and one brother—Mathilda and William at home, Mrs. Wm. (Emma) Humpal, Conover.

Pallbearers were: George Lentz, Clarence Kubik, Clem Hackman, Arnold Soukup, Will Drew and Orville Anderson.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to all relatives, neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted us during the time of our recent bereavement. We also wish to thank Rev. Father Biskup, and also Father Hamilton for administering to her during her last days, also Dr. Bockoven, Sisters and nurses of Mercy hospital, the choir, pallbearers, Anton Balik to those who furnished cars for the funeral, for spiritual bouquets, flowers and foods.
