His marriage to Anna Kruchek took place at Spillville Oct. 15, 1907 and since then they have made their home on a farm south of town. He was always a resident of Winneshiek county. He leaves to mourn his untimely death his widow and six children: Mrs. Clarence Vsetecka (Pauline) of near Jackson Junction; Mrs. Ed Wagner (Anna) of Spillville; Agnes, Louis, Johnny and James all at home. He also leaves his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Shindelar and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Mary Stika of near Protivin; Mrs. Rose Pecka, Mrs. Celia Hayek, Mrs. Barbara Vitoushek, Charles and Mike all of the Spillville vicinity and Frank and Joseph of Protivin.
