Mrs. Anna Fosse

Mrs. Anna Fosse, nee Anna Qualley, daughter of Even and Rachel Qualley, was born March 6, 1860 in Valdres, Norway. Her parents brought her to this country one year later, and settled at Springwater, Iowa, where she grew to young womanhood. She was united in marriage with Lewis T. Fosse at Decorah on Dec. 12, 1878.

To this union eight children were born, five of whom preceded her in death, Charles Alvin, Seymour, Clara, Clarence and Lloyd. The surviving are Olin Addison and Adela Louise Curtis of Ridgeway and Tyndall of Decorah. She was also preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in 1926, and two brothers, John and Ole, and one sister, Mary.

Mr. and Mrs. Fosse made their home at Highlandville, Iowa, until moving to Ridgeway in November of 1893, where she has resided continuously for the past 51 years. Her life was spent in unselfish devotion to her home and family. Mrs. Fosse passed away at her home in Ridgeway on January 31, at the age of 84 years and ten months. She is survived by her three children, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three nieces, and one sister, Mrs. Anna O. Anderson of Ridgeway.
