Mrs. Frances Swehla

Funeral services were held here Friday morning at 9 o’clock at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic church, Rev. Badura officiating, for Mrs. Frances Swehla, 76, who died on Tuesday in Cedar Rapids, where she made her home for several years. The pallbearers were Geo. Zoulek, Will Schwade, John Fisher, Fred Herold, John Taylor and Joseph Herold. Mrs. Swehla was born on a farm near Spillville, as Frances Zoulek, and lived here most of her life. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. John (Ida) Paul and her grandson, all of Cedar Rapids, two step children, Joseph Swehla and Mrs. Rose Novak, both of Spillville, and three sisters, Mrs. Antonia Herold, Mrs. Katherine Soukup,, Spillville, Mrs. Helen Shevik, Calmar and a brother, John Zoulek, Spillville.
