Funeral services for Edwin Sjobakken of Cresco who died June 21 were held at the home at 10 o’clock and at the Lutheran church in Cresco at 10:30 o’clock Thursday morning. Rev. Normann, officiated and burial was made in the Ridgeway cemetery. Pall bearers were Norman Trytten, Andrew Magnus, Gilbert Hopperstad, Dr. L. J. Hospodarsky, Merle Butz and Arthur Albers.

Edwin Herman Sjobakken, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Sjobakken of Ridgeway was born Aug. 23, 1905. He received his education at the Ridgeway public school and was a graduate of the Decorah high school in the year 1924. Feb. 2, 1932, he was united in marriage to Miss Virginia Woodard and they made their home in Cresco, residing there since.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, one daughter, Marlene, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Sjobakken of Ridgeway, two sisters, Ruth, Mrs. John Greenslade of Cresco, Dorothy at home and one brother, Arthur Sjobakken of Ridgeway. One infant brother, Luverne, preceded him in death in 1910. The deceased was baptized and confirmed in the United Lutheran church here.

Much sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends who mourn his departure. Among those attending the funeral were Mrs. Peter Murck and Gilbert Armstrong of Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. John N. Russell, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wheeler, Mrs. G. Bardouche, Mr. and Mrs. Derwood Bardouche and Mrs. Joe Lickteig of Austin; Mrs. James Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Armstrong, Ed Ellingson, Belle and Julia Ellingson and John Ellingson.
